SMOKING & COOKING POLICY

 

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all guests and staff, smoking and cooking are strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and common areas.

Prohibited Items:

  • Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, etc.)

  • Marijuana

  • Illegal drugs

  • E-cigarettes

  • Vape pens

  • Vaping cartridges

  • Hookahs

  • Incense

  • Candles

  • Patchouli oil or other strong-smelling oils

  • Cooking appliances (except microwave and refrigerator)​

Consequences of Violation:

A $250 room recovery fee will be charged for smoking in a guest room or on the walkway.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate eviction without refund.​

Designated Smoking Area

The Orange Motel is 100% smoke-free. There is a designated outdoor area available for smoking outside the motel. Please use this area for smoking.

Report Odors

If you smell smoke or other unpleasant odors, please report it to the front desk immediately.

 

By adhering to this policy, you help maintain a comfortable and safe environment for everyone.

UNREGISTERED GUESTS

DAMAGES, TAMPERING, OR THEFT

  • Smoke detector

  • Security equipment

  • Appliances

  • Furniture

  • Linens

  • Property

Repair costs plus inconvenience charges. If severe or repeated violations could lead to eviction.

Please be aware that any eviction or outstanding fees resulting from violations of our policies will lead to the blacklisting of your account. This may limit your ability to rent future units from us or other affiliated properties. However, if you pay the unpaid fees in full, we may reconsider.

Common reasons for blacklisting include:

  • Property damage: Damaging motel property, such as furniture or equipment.

  • Disruptive behavior: Being excessively loud, unruly, or causing disturbances for other guests or staff.

  • Non-payment: Failing to pay for services or accommodations.

  • Criminal activity: Engaging in illegal activities on motel premises.

  • Violation of motel policies: Breaking motel guest rules, such as smoking in non-smoking areas or bringing unauthorized pets.

It's important to note that motels generally have the right to refuse service to anyone who is deemed to be a risk to the safety or well-being of other guests or staff.
