Orange Motel Guest Terms & Conditions

Room Rates, Incidentals, Policies and Procedures

All room rates are non-negotiable, and we do not engage in bartering. Applicable taxes will be added at the time of reservation. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Detailed terms regarding a deposit or advance payment must be agreed upon prior to signing the agreement. The motel reserves the right to perform a credit check and its own credit evaluation of the client before finalizing the contract. Certain privileged booking rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation, refund, or any change. Guests must check the room description and any such conditions carefully before making a booking. The Motel shall not be liable to cancel or refund any monies or alter any bookings made under such offers. A photo-identity proof is required at check-in for security purposes.

Accepted Payments and Third Parties

We accept major credit cards and debit cards. Transactions are processed through Clover and Wix. Please review their respective terms and conditions.

Effective February 18, 2025, we no longer accept third-party payments except from established businesses. This includes payments made on behalf of another individual, regardless of the relationship (e.g., friends or non-profit organizations).

Important Notice Regarding Debit Card Usage for Incidentals

As a valued guest of the Orange Motel, we want to ensure full transparency regarding our incidental deposit policy, especially if you choose to use a debit card. A temporary authorization hold of $250 will be placed on your debit card at check-in. This authorization directly reduces the available balance in your checking account. By checking in and providing your debit card, guests authorize Orange Motel to charge their card on file for any incidental expenses incurred during their stay, including but not limited to damages, mini-bar purchases, and other services utilized. While we release our hold immediately upon your check-out, the time it takes for the funds to become available in your account is determined solely by your bank or financial institution. This process varies greatly by bank. If immediate access to your full funds is essential, we strongly recommend using a major credit card for the incidental deposit, as the hold affects your line of credit, not your cash funds, and is typically released much faster.

Cancellations and Refunds

Upon cancellation, the booking amount (after deduction of any cancellation charges and taxes) will be credited back to the original payment mode (debit card/credit card). The time it takes for the released funds to become available is determined by your financial institution and may vary. The motel has no control over the speed at which your individual banking institution releases the hold on funds. In the event of a no-show, a fee of one night’s room charge (inclusive of any applicable tax) will be charged to the card provided at the time of reservation. The Motel may, at its absolute discretion, cancel a reservation if the information provided by the guest is falsified or incomplete. The Motel shall not be liable for any losses, damages, costs, or expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. The Guest voluntarily agrees to permit Motel representatives to profile the guest from the public domain to verify details and ensure adequate hospitality services during their stay.

Reporting Issues Before Room Usage

To ensure guest comfort and satisfaction and to address issues promptly, we require that all guests inspect their rooms upon arrival and report any uncleanliness, damages, or missing items before using the room. Upon entering the room, conduct a thorough inspection of the space, including bed linens, towels, bathroom fixtures, furniture, and overall cleanliness. If any issues are identified, guests must immediately notify the front desk. Delayed reporting may limit the motel's ability to investigate and resolve the issue effectively. Failure to inspect and report issues before using the room may result in a reduced ability to address the issue and potential additional charges. Once the room is used, the reservation becomes non-refundable; if a reduced refund is issued, it will be only for a reduced amount.

Pet Registration and Fees

We are a pet-friendly establishment. However, to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, the following policies apply:

Pets are permitted only in designated pet-friendly rooms, which are subject to availability. Guests must notify us of your pet prior to check-in to confirm a pet-friendly room is available for your stay. A maximum of 1 pet is permitted per room. Upon arrival, you will be required to, complete and sign a Pet Waiver. A copy of the executed Pet Waiver will be provided to the guest for their records. The guest will be charged a one-time, non-refundable deposit of $75, plus a nightly pet fee. Guests are required to provide their own dedicated bedding, food/water bowls, and other necessary supplies for their pet. Pets are not permitted to use motel furniture or linens (including beds, towels, or blankets).

Any pet discovered that was not registered will be charged the standard deposit and nightly fee, or the guest may be asked to leave the premises. If multiple pets are found in the room, the guest will be charged the standard non-refundable deposit and nightly fee for each pet and/or will be immediately asked to leave the premises. If a pet is found in a non-pet-friendly room, a penalty of $250 will be charged to your account for specialized cleaning.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Service Animals are not considered pets. We welcome Service Animals, which are dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Please note that Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are NOT considered Service Animals under the ADA and are therefore subject to all standard Pet Policy rules, fees, and restrictions. We do not charge a pet fee, non-refundable deposit, or require notification in advance for a guest traveling with a Service Animal. Guests with Service Animals will not be restricted to designated "pet-friendly" rooms. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their Service Animal, and charges will be assessed for such damage, consistent with the policy for all guests. A Service Animal must be under the control of its handler at all times. We reserve the right to ask the guest to remove the Service Animal if it is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, or if it is not housebroken.

Occupancy, Extensions, and Stay Limitations

Maximum occupancy limits vary by room type: 1 bed (2 guests) and 2 beds (4 guests). This is based on two adults in single rooms and four adults in double rooms. The Motel reserves the right to evict or charge for any additional occupants. Extensions are subject to availability. To maintain your current rate, a 24-hour advance notice is required for stay extensions; otherwise, prevailing rates will apply. Reservations are not transferable. Please note that we specialize in comfortable guest rooms and cater exclusively to short-term stays. We do not offer long-term residency as our facilities lack kitchens, kitchenettes, efficiency-style rooms, or self-serve laundry facilities. The maximum stay permitted is 24 nights. Our fixed "weekly" rate covers a 6-night stay. All rates, including weekly rates, are subject to change based on seasonal demand and may be higher during peak seasons. If your confirmed stay is shortened after booking, the remaining unused nights will be charged at the standard nightly rate. Alternatively, a credit toward a future stay may be offered, subject to availability and management approval. Extensions of your stay are subject to availability. Extensions will be offered at the rates applicable at the extension request is made. To potentially maintain your current rate for an extension, 24-hours advanced notice is required. Without this 24-hour notice, prevailing rates will apply.
